your hours for walk in customers?
You can order merchandise online or through our distributors and
dealers. Our Emergency Operations Center is not open to the public.

from you, your prices are so reasonable. Is this new merchandise?
Yes it is. Communications Electronics only distributes factory
fresh new product.

Why are your prices are so reasonable?
Communications Electronics is a master distributor for Uniden
America Corporation and many other vendors. We normally sell our products
to government agencies, distributors and dealers. Consumers may purchase
our products directly from CEI through the internet by clicking here
for our order form.

How much does it cost for shipping,
handling and insurance?
Add $30.00 per weather station or
scanner/radio product for UPS ground shipping, handling and insurance
in the 48 contiguous continental United States unless otherwise
stated. Add $20.00 for UPS Ground shipping for all accessories.
Shipping, handling and insurance charges to Canada, Puerto Rico,
Hawaii, Alaska, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are $40.00 per weather
station or scanner/radio product for insured US Priority or Air
Mail shipping. For UPS second day air service to the continental
United States, the shipping, handling and insurance charge are two
times the continental United States UPS ground rates. For UPS next
day air service to the continental United States, the shipping,
handling and insurance charge are three times the continental United
States UPS ground rates. For same day service, CEI uses UPS Sonic
Air Best Flight, a UPS Logistics Group company. Rates start at $315.00.

Can my Bearcat Scanner be upgraded
to pick up digital?
The Digital Capable BC250D
& BC785D
scanners will pick up digital signals when the BCi25D Digital card
is plugged in. Our newer scanners, the BC296D and BC796D are digital
ready as the digital card is already installed at the factory.

I ordered a scanner and would like
to return it. This item was a gift and the person does not want it.
What is your return policy?
With the exception of non-returnable
CEI
E-Value and special
order items, your satisfaction is guaranteed or return the item,
freight prepaid in unused condition in original packaging within
61 days from the date of purchase for refund, less shipping/handling/insurance
charges. Items must be purchased from Communications Electronics
and returned within 61 days from the date of purchase with the CEI
original invoice to be eligible for refund or exchange. Refunds
will not be given for shipping, handling or insurance charges and/or
extended warranties. All returns must include original factory box,
original factory packaging (foam, plastic, wrappings, etc.) blank,
unfilled warranty cards, all instruction booklets and paperwork.
Do not deface the original factory cartons or packaging in any manner.
We will not accept a return if packaging is not in its original
condition. All returned merchandise must be in its original mint
and clean condition. Returns on damaged or scratched merchandise
will not be accepted. All returns must include all the factory accessories
which come with the item. For example, a handheld radio scanner
must be returned with its original battery, charger, earphone, straps,
etc. No returns will be accepted if any of these packed accessories
are missing or damaged. Opened software may only be exchanged for
the exact same item and may not be returned for a refund. Communications
Electronics will not accept the return or exchange of any item if
the UPC code has been removed from the packaging. Refund on purchases
made with a credit or debit card will only be credited to the same
card. Please send all returns by an insured and traceable method.
