“The TrunkTracker II feature makes the BC245XLT able to track both GE/Ericsson and Motorola trunked radio systems. Previously Uniden introduced the TrunkTracker radio scanner--the first scanner capable of tracking a conversation as it jumped frequencies across Motorola trunked radio systems. Now TrunkTracker II enables scanner users to track conversations on trunked radio systems made by both major system manufacturers. With the Uniden Multi-Track feature, you can track more than one trunking system at a time and scan conventional and trunked systems at the same time.You can actually track up to 10 trunking systems at one time. You can trunk scan or search and scan conventional frequencies at the same time. You can program conventional frequencies in the same bank as trunking systems. With the new Autolight feature, you can automatically turn the LCD light on when the BC245XLT finds a transmission. To use autolight, press and hold the light icon until you hear two short beeps. The scanner will automatikcally turn the light on for five seconds, whenever a transmission is found. Using the Battery Save feature, in manual mode, your BC245XLT automatically reduces its power requirements to extend the battery’s charge. A new service scan feature has been added to the BC245XLT when scanning the railroad bank. When an active channel is displayed, the BC245XLT will alternate between the frequency and the Railroad channel number. TrunkTracker II now allows tracking of EDACS trunked systems. With Remote (PC Control) Mode you can program and control your BC245XLT scanner remotely from a PC using third party software. Using Clone Mode, you can clone the frequency data of one BC245XLT scanner to another. “When a conversation changes frequencies on a Motorola or GE/Ericsson trunked radio system, TrunkTracker II automatically follows the conversation so users don´t have to manually change frequencies to find the rest of the transmission,” Ascher said. “Again, it´s a revolutionary convenience for scanner users.” Click here for information on understanding scanning.
