What are the benefits of owning the BC-RH96 scanner
remote control head?
The Bearcat BC-RH96 Remote Head is an accessory which helps you
get more out of your Uniden BCD996T,
BCT15, BCD396T
and BR330T
radio scanners. The BC-RH96 provides the following features:
1. Controls all the functions of your Uniden mobile or handy scanner
(with the exception of the scanner’s power control.)
2. Gives you three shortcut keys that you can assign to your scanner’s
most often used operations.
3. Serves as a large LCD with your handy scanner.
4. Recognizes the scanner baud rate for reliable communications between
units.
5. The volume and squelch controls emulate those on the scanner.
6. Provides a large, easy to read LCD display with adjustable backlight
and contrast levels.
7. Emulates your mobile scanner’s Close Call and Alert LED signals.
What scanners will it work with?
The BC-RH96 works with the Uniden BCD996T,
BCT15, BCD396T
and BR330T
radio scanners. As an accessory, you must use this item
with one of the Bearcat scanners listed here.
What comes with the BC-RH96?
When you purchase your BC-RH96 from Communications Electronics,
you get:
1. The BC-RH96 Remote Head unit.
2. A steel mounting bracket with attachment washers factory installed.
3. Mounting hardware (screws and washers) to attach the bracket.
4. Threaded knobs to allow mounting the Remote Head quickly to the
bracket.
5. Remote connection cable, 10 feet in length.
6. A correctly polarized vehicle DC adapter to let you connect the
Remote Head to a convenience outlet in your vehicle that provides
12-13.8 VDC.
7. A 28 page BC-RH96
owners manual.
8. A set of pocket-sized Quick Reference Configuration cards for convenient
setup and usage.

Performance on digital systems can vary due to signal quality, multipath
interference, and cellular interference. Unlike analog trunking, where
you can hear the audio with some interference mixed in, interference
in a digital system completely blocks the signal. If you do not get
good digital reception, we recommend the purchase of the optional ANTMMBNC
magnetic mount antenna. Using this antenna, adjust your location and
the position of the antenna until reception improves.
