Press Releases | Events | Mailing List RELM Wireless Announces Order for EPH
and GMH Products
May 8, 2001--RELM Wireless Corporation, a manufacturer, developer, and distributor of wireless land mobile radio (LMR) products, today announced the receipt of three orders from USDA Forest Service Logistic Support totaling approximately $400,000 for EPH series portable radios and GMH dash-mount mobile radios. Thom Morrow, RELM's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented, "The orders from the USDA Forestry reflect its continued relationship with RELM Wireless. These radios will help the Forest Service not only in its day to day activities but also with its efforts in supporting the upcoming forest fire season." The GMH series is the Company's newest family of products, having been introduced in the second half of 2000. Since their introduction, RELM has received orders totaling in excess of $1.4 million for the GMH models. The key features of the GMH include flash technology and cloning capability. Flash technology allows a user to change the character and options of the radio with computer software, eliminating the need for time-consuming and expensive retrofitting. Using GMH's cloning capability, a user can quickly and easily copy information and settings from existing BK radio products. Additionally, a remote mount version of the GMH is available, which allows the radio control head to be mounted in a convenient location while the main body of the radio is mounted remotely, such as in the trunk or under a seat, up to 25 feet away. |
